The Toddler Program

The Toddler programs at AMS are for ages 18 months - 3 years old.
There are two toddler classrooms, Toddler 1 and Toddler 2. 
The Toddler 1 classroom has  one lead teacher and two assistant teachers and can enroll up to 12 students. The Toddler 2 classroom has one Lead Teacher and one Assistant Teacher and is able to enroll up to 9 students. The ratio for both of these classrooms is 1 teacher to every 5 toddlers.

.The Toddler Classrooms are inviting prepared environment to help students gain independence and build confidence as they navigate the world. Teachers in this classroom provide one on one lessons as well as group presentations. This classroom focuses of freedom of movement, Practical life (care of oneself and the environment), language development, and social emotional development. Alongside classroom lessons, the Toddler classrooms go outside everyday to take walks and explore the community. 


Toddler Classrooms Schedule 
8:00-8:30 Before School Care 
8:30-10:45 Montessori Work Cycle (Morning Snack offered during this)
10:45-11:30- Outside Time
11:30-12:15 Lunch
12:15-12:30 Transition to Quiet Time
12:30-2:30- Quiet Time/Nap
2:30-3:30 Montessori Works
3:30-5:00 After School Care

Diaper Changes are done as needed and every two hours.
This schedule is subject to change for the needs of the classroom.
