The School Age Program

For the upcoming school year (2021-2022), we will be returning to our regular after school program for school age children in Kindergarten-4th grade. Students take the bus from Alfred-Almond Central School to Alfred Montessori, and the school age teacher meets them at the bus stop. The teacher walks with the students from the bus stop into our school building, and students go upstairs to their classroom. They wash hands, have a snack, and then have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities. Some days, the students will be out on the playground part, or all, of the afternoon. When they are inside, they have the opportunity to play games with friends, play independently, work on crafts, or participate in group activities.
